Employee of the Month
Congratulations to Emily Thurman, our September Employee of the Month. Emily began working at RPMH as our Human Resource Assistant in December 2014, very shortly after moving here from Weatherford. Emily was nominated by a co-worker at said. "Emily has stepped into a very busy job and has done great." They went on to say that she "is always willing to help me out and does so in a very quick, efficient manner. I have seen her with our staff and she is always helpful and smiling. I am so glad to have Emily on our team!" Emily was a 2005 graduate of Weatherford High School. She works full time and continues to further her education at Weatherford College. She and her husband, Zach, have a daughter, McKenna. Congratulations to Emily on a much-deserved honor!

Employee of the Year.
Congratulations to Lori Jones, our 2014 Employee of the Year. Lori joined the RPMH family in May 1998 as the Nursing Service Secretary and Staffing Coordinator. Lori was named our November Employee of the Month and she went on to be voted 2014 Employee of the Year by her co-workers. Lori graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1987 and attended Western Texas College in Snyder where she graduated with an Associates Degree. TO understand why Lori received this award, you need only to speak to the RPMH employees. "Having someone like Lori on the RPMH team is a blessing to us all." Lori and her husband, Michael, are longtime residents of Sweetwater. They have two daughters, Sierra and Samantha. Congratulations Lori!

Heartbeat of the Year
The Heartbeat program is designed to make all employees aware of their role in customer service by promoting teamwork, courtesy, respect and dignity for others. This year, we had 14 different departments nominated by our staff, but our winner was Education/Infection Control.
The nomination read "This department is a one person department who does the work of 20 people." "She always does this with pride for our hospital and our new employees love her." "Dody is a team player, and you could not find a better person to show courtesy, respect and dignity for our customers." Dody graduated from Winters High School, and went on to attend Ranger Junior College and Angelo State University where she earned her RN Licensure. Dody has been with RPMH since June 1981. She was promoted to Director of Education in 1993. Dody lives in Sweetwater with her husband Arlon. He is a retired Sweetwater Mustang coach and is a part time Cardinal Pharmacy Tech. They have 2 children, Brad Barnes and Kadee Wikse, and 5 grandchildren.
