Employee of the Month
Congratulations to Connie Harshaw, our February Employee of the Month! Connie began working in the Dietary Department of RPMH as a cook in 2012 and in April 2013 was promoted to Food Service Supervisor. A co-worker nominated Connie for EOM, and that speaks volumes. It was said that Connie has been a "great employee since she started working" in the Dietary Department. They went on to say that she "is very friendly-always polite and would make a great Employee of the Month". Connie graduated from Tescott High School in Kansas. Connie lives in Sweetwater and has two sons, Levi Hester and his wife Judy, Jacob Hester and his wife Gabby, and has one daughter, Samantha Harshaw. Connie has two grandsons, Levi Jr. and Jaxon. Thanks to Connie, for making RPMH a great place to work!

Congratulations to Paul Romero, our 2013 Employee of the Year! Paul has been with RPMH since 2001 and is a Dietary Aide. Paul was nominated by a co-worker and elected in February 2013 as Employee of the Month. He has been described as polite, helpful and very dependable. Paul also volunteers to serve on the Community Outreach Team. Paul and his wife of 15 years, Michelle, live in Sweetwater and have 4 children Bianca, Nick, Aaron and Lindsey. They have one grandchild Mason and are expecting grandchild two, baby Jase, any day now!

Heartbeat of the Year
The Heartbeat program is designed to make all employees aware of their role in customer service by promoting teamwork, courtesy, respect and dignity for others. This year, we had 14 different departments nominated by our staff, but our winner was Education/Infection Control.
The nomination read "This department is a one person department who does the work of 20 people." "She always does this with pride for our hospital and our new employees love her." "Dody is a team player, and you could not find a better person to show courtesy, respect and dignity for our customers." Dody graduated from Winters High School, and went on to attend Ranger Junior College and Angelo State University where she earned her RN Licensure. Dody has been with RPMH since June 1981. She was promoted to Director of Education in 1993. Dody lives in Sweetwater with her husband Arlon. He is a retired Sweetwater Mustang coach and is a part time Cardinal Pharmacy Tech. They have 2 children, Brad Barnes and Kadee Wikse, and 5 grandchildren.
