Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital has been re-designated as a Basic Trauma Facility by the Texas Department of State Health Sciences.
Administrator Tom Kennedy announced the designation during the recent meeting of the Nolan County Hospital District’s board of directors meeting.
The hospital went through a lengthy process to be re-designated in the Trauma Service Area-D field. The designation is good for three years.
“Your hospital is to be commended for its hard work and perseverance in taking this step toward insuring quality care for the trauma patients in its area,” said TDSHS Commissioner Eduardo J. Sanchez.
The hospital had only a few minor modifications to become re-designated, Kennedy noted.
