Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital Physical Therapy
Department
RPMH Physical Therapy department offers a wide range of services
to meet the needs of our patients. Therapy is focused primarily
on individuals of all ages whose potential and ability to function
is limited due to neuromuscular, musculo skeletal, epithelial
(wound care), or other potentially debilitating conditions. Physical
therapy services incorporate evaluation of physical status and
functional abilities with education and instruction to achieve
a lasting improvement for both our patients and families. We have
available a complete therapy gym for exercise and training along
with the latest in strengthening and testing equipment. Also available
are a complete range of modalities for pain control and comfort.
For those with open wounds or burns we have a staff trained in
the latest care. We offer whirlpool for cleaning and debridement,
as well and instrumental debridement by a licensed physical therapist
or physical therapy assistant. We will incorporate the appropriate
dressing and education on at home care.
Our physical therapy staff provides rehabilitation services to
outpatients 5 days a week from 8:00-5:00. Inpatients are seen
5 days a week from 8:00-5:00 and Saturday mornings. Home health
patients are seen Monday-Friday with physician ordered frequency.
There is also a fitness area associated with our facility. We
offer treadmills, arm and leg bicycles, machine weights, and a
stair step machine. For those who are interested we also have
a 4ft deep pool for exercise, walking or aerobics. This is available
during the regular fitness hours, or you can join one of the 3
different aerobics classes available. The regular fitness hours
are from 8:00-7:00 Monday-Thursday, and 8:00-5:00 Friday. If you
have questions about the fitness equipment or aerobics classes,
or you need someone to set up a workout for you please let us
know and we will be happy to assist.
CARDIAC PULMONARY REHAB
The Cardiac Pulmonary Rehab program assists people suffering
heart or lung disease to transition in to an active lifestyle.
The program includes:
- Inpatient phase during hospitalization
- Monitored outpatient program
- Risk factor reduction program
- Smoking Cessation program for inpatients and outpatients
- Maintenance and prevention program
