Who needs to have cardiac rehab?

Cardiac rehab is important for people who’ve had some kind of problem with their heart, such as:

  • Heart attack.
  • Heart failure.
  • Use of a ventricular assist device.
  • Angina.
  • Heart or heart-lung transplant.
  • Heart Valve repair or replacement.
  • Coronary artery bypass graft.
  • Coronary artery angioplasty with or without stent placement.

The national average of completion for cardiac rehabilitation programs is 7%. At the Rolling Plains Cardiac Rehab program, the average completion rate is over 50%.
