Meet our team

Richard Perez

I started a successful career in Law Enforcement 37 years ago. I graduated from the Permian Basin L.E. Academy, while employed with the Midland County Adult Probation Detention Center.  After earning an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice I moved on to the Big Spring Police Dept. where I attained the rank of Sgt. before going to the Colorado City Police Dept also as a Sgt. After later joining the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office I left there to join the academic side of L.E. at Hardin Simmons University P.D.  While there I was able to put on classes for the entire staff on "Active Shooter" training.  Achieving the rank of Assistant Chief of Police, I semi-retired from full time policing and joined the staff of RPMH Security where I am now the Director of Security. I still holds an active Texas Peace Officer license, as a Master Peace Officer.
