The RPMH Cardiopulmonary staff brings almost 25 years of experience to the table.

Cardiopulmonary Services

Respiratory Therapist is a specialized healthcare practitioner trained in Emergency/Critical Care and cardiopulmonary medicine. In the assessment and treatment of patients suffering from acute and chronic critical conditions involving cardiac and pulmonary diseases. Today’s respiratory therapist have demanding responsibilities in the care and treatment of patients and serve as a vital member of the healthcare team.

Here at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital our Cardiopulmonary Services staff all hold current credentials from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), as either a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with some of the therapist also holding specialty credentials of Neonatal/Perinatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS).  Also, a current Texas license from the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), along with current certifications of BLS, ACLS, PALS, NPR and STABLE, our staff are highly educated and skilled professionals, with a combined 247 years of experience.

The scope of services provided but not limited to include; patient assessment, education, and disease management, aerosol therapy heated/cool, oxygen therapy, high flow oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication delivery (bronchodilator therapy), chest percussion/physiotherapy, arterial blood gas specimen and analysis, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, EKG,EEG, Holter Monitoring, Incentive spirometer, Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT),peak flow meter, pulse oximetry, positive pressure medication delivery, Stress Testing, Sleep Study, tracheostomy care, BIPAP/CPAP application/management and Ventilator application/management.
