Rehabilitation – Rehab Services

Therapy programs can be done with inpatient care, outpatient care and home health settings.

Therapy is one of the vital tools Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital uses to care for our neighbors in the community. Making sure patients get as much of their strength, mobility, speech, and the skills of daily living back as possible is important to every member of our team. We are proud to offer several different rehabilitation services to Nolan County and the Sweetwater area.

Physical Therapy

Our therapists work with their patients to improve their strength, balance, cardiovascular health, as well as their overall mobility. These types of therapy programs are custom-tailored to each individual patient, so a patient need not worry that PT will be too hard on the first day. We will start slow and build up, so you are comfortable as you regain your abilities. We see patients who have suffered major injuries, and we see patients who are recovering from minor injuries. The Physical Therapy programs can be done in inpatient care and outpatient care settings.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy, or OT, is a group of therapeutic activities that are customized to help patients get back to their daily lives and be able to perform the tasks of daily living. Our therapy team will first assess your needs, whether work-related activities are what need to be recovered, or simple daily tasks need to be performed in your everyday life. Once we determine what deficits need to be addressed. We put together a comprehensive program to get you back to where you need to be. That might be back on the job or back to simply being able to do laundry at your home. Our therapists work with our patients to retrain their bodies to perform certain tasks or learn new ways to perform tasks.

Speech Therapy

Speech Therapy is designed to help patients improve their ability to communicate and swallow safely. Our Speech-Language Pathologists work with individuals of all ages who may be experiencing difficulties with speech, language, voice, cognition, or swallowing, whether due to illness, injury, or developmental challenges.

Each therapy plan is personalized to meet the patient’s unique goals and comfort level. We take time to understand where you are, what challenges you’re facing, and what success looks like for you. Whether that means improving pronunciation, strengthening your voice, enhancing comprehension, or regaining swallowing function, our team is here every step of the way.

Our Speech Therapy services are available for both inpatient and outpatient care, and our therapists work closely with families and caregivers to ensure progress continues long after the session ends.

At RPMH, we believe that communication is key to connection, and we’re committed to helping you find your voice again.

Weekend Warriors – Is therapy right for you?

Living an active lifestyle can have a huge positive impact on someone’s overall health. But for some of us (all of us), we are not as young as we used to be. So, if a suddenly you decide to play in a softball tournament all weekend or your kids want you to play full court basketball, we can help. Injuries happen, and with the proper treatment regimen put together by a professional, we will get you up and going in no time. We work with patients in the outpatient setting who have injuries that they suffered while trying to relive their glory days.

Sports therapy will help your body heal faster. If you need it, give our team a call today to schedule an appointment.
